Let's be clear...
Many of my posts contain affiliate links.
I'd like to talk a little more about that.
What exactly are affiliate links?
Affiliate links are links to websites that offer products that I use or recommend.
How do they work?
When an affiliate link is clicked I receive a commission for purchases made. This does not impact the cost to you. I am simply given a commission for referring you to the site. On your end there is no difference. No discount (unless otherwise stated), No additional cost.
How I use affiliate links
When I write a post and want to include a product that I feel I can recommend, I search my affiliate programs to check if that product is offered.
If it is I add the affiliate link.
If it’s not…?
I still add the link.
I am going to recommend a product I love whether I receive compensation or not,
but I will use affiliate links when they are available.
I do not recommend products specifically because they offer affiliate links...ever.
Although there is no impact on you whether a link is an affiliate or not, in the interest of full disclosure I mark every link as (affiliate) in text.
